Parents:
United Way of Hernando County, in fulfilling our vision to advocate good health, presents a free activity to motivate your child to stay fit during the summer.

The program is simple. Kids participate by tracking summer activities listed in the attached
booklet. As he/she attempts or completes the activities by Giving It A Shot, the parent/guardian initials the booklet. Participants may substitute an activity as needed to fit their physical capabilities. The main objective is to get the kids active by giving it a shot!
This initiative is focused on building self-esteem and healthy fun. The biggest goal is to get the kids to put away their video games, go out and have fun.
You are also encouraged to Give It A Shot with your children.
When school starts in the fall, your child should return the booklet to their PE Coach. Everyone who gave the program "a shot" will receive a Certificate of Completion to be awarded at their school during a fall assembly by a United Way representative.
Have a fun and fit Summer!
Thank you for Giving It A Shot!
